On a perfect late spring afternoon, members of the Chester Association of Property Professionals (CAPP) took to the field for our much-anticipated cricket match against the Eaton Estate team. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Estate’s manicured grounds and mature trees, it was an afternoon that blended sport, sunshine, and strong camaraderie across the local property community.
Although we came up short on the scoreboard—Eaton posted 136 runs to our 101—it was a closely fought contest, with great displays of skill, sportsmanship, and good humour from both sides. From quick singles and bold boundaries to tight bowling and classic catches, the game had it all.
Beyond the match itself, the day was a celebration of connection. The Eaton Estate team were, as always, gracious hosts. Their warm hospitality made the event not just about cricket, but about building relationships across our shared profession.
After the final wicket fell, both teams gathered in front of the pavilion (dating back to 1895!) for a group photo—smiles all around and spirits high, regardless of the result.
It’s events like these that remind us what CAPP is all about: coming together beyond business, celebrating our shared passion for property—and enjoying the occasional sporting showdown along the way.
A huge thank you to everyone who played, cheered, or supported in any way. And to our friends at Eaton Estate: we’ll be back for the rematch!
Until next time,
The Chester Association of Property Professionals
