Many of you will know me from various Chester projects and city initiatives over the past few years, but you might not know much about what we’ve been building at Openhome.
So here goes.
After years of quietly working away on our own developments and design projects, we’re expanding and evolving and we’re delighted to be joining the Chester Association of Property Professionals.
We’ve been nudged (in the best way) by our friends and collaborators Lisa and John Curran, so it feels like the right time, and the right audience, to say a bit more about what we do.
Openhome is a small, experienced team offering Architecture, Interior Design and Consultancy, with a particular focus on heritage buildings and commercially tricky sites. The kind of projects where the easy answer isn’t good enough and where a bit of creative thinking can unlock serious potential.
Before founding Openhome, I ran a successful architecture practice. Since launching this new venture three years ago, we’ve quietly delivered a mix of architectural work and our own niche developments. Now, we’re making a bit more noise and CAPP feels like the perfect place to start.
We’re big believers in the power of good design to solve commercial problems. Whether it’s bringing new life to an old building, or finding a way to make a space work better commercially, our approach is hands-on, straightforward, and always shaped by the end use.
If you’ve got a project, a space, or just want to bounce around ideas over a coffee, we’re always up for a conversation.
